| Abstract | (C) Coastal LEGL0010 Metals data from coastal zones of Greece. Water samples were taken at coastal areas from all over Greece in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 under the Water Frame Directive (WFD). The samples were collected with Niskin bottles and stored in the refrigeration in polyethylene bottles. In lab samples were filtered by cellulose filters (0.45mm) and immediately acidified to pH 2 with the addition of HCl s.p. . The concentrations of metals (Cd, Co, Cu, Ni, Fe, Pb, Zn, Mn) were determined according to the method described by Willie et al (1998), the chromium assay by the method described by Cranston and Murray (1978), and mercury according to Method 1631 of EPA. The concentrations of all the Metals in the final acid solution was determined using ICP-MS (Thermo-Elemental XseriesII), except Hg determined using CVAFS (Cold Vapor Atomic Fluoresence Specrometry). Data quality controlled by the originators and checked with ODV and OCTOPUS software. | |||||||||
