    AbstractThe dataset consists of 50 drifter trajectories which were collected during deployments from different stations on different days between 17th and 23rd September 1996. The measurements were made in connection with an oceanographic survey commissioned by Water Services Corporation with the intention of studying the hydrographic characteristics of this marine area for the purpose of a sewage outfall. Each deployment used two drifters, one at a depth of 5m and another at 30m The drifters were released from different points in an area of sea about 8 Km2 on the Western coast of Malta.
