    AbstractThis dataset was collected during a survey within MaGIC (Marine Geohazards along the Italian Coast) Project. The Multibeam Kongsberg EM3002 dual-head was hull-mounted on a 42 meters long vessel; the system has 508 beams and an operational frequency of 300 kHz. A Seapath 200 provided real-time heading attitude and position information. A Sound Velocity Sensor was installed near the transducers thus providing realtime sound speed for beam steering and a CTD probe was lowered through the water column every 6–8 h to get the velocity profile required for the depth computation. The bathymetric data were processed using Caris Hips&Sips software.
