| Abstract | Zoobenthos data from coastal zones of Greece. Benthic samples were taken at coastal areas from all over Greece in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 under the Water Frame Directive (WFD). At each station two samples of benthos were collected with a 0.1 m2 McIntyre grab. The samples were washed on a 1mm mesh sieve and preserved in a 10% formalin solution in sea water with rose Bengal stain. In the laboratory, the macrofauna was sorted, identified where this was possible to species level and where this was not possible to a higher taxonomic level (genus or family) and counted. The two replicates from each station were added and the total number of individuals per m2 for each species was calculated. | |||||||||
