    AbstractData were acquired under a contract between IO-BAS and Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water for habitat characterization of Sublitoral mussel banks (habitat 1170) on the Bulgarian shelf in the framework of NATURA’2000. The expedition was carried out in the period 05 - 30.10 – 04.11.2011 onboard RV Akademik in for legs – investigating four separate areas: Kaliakra, Balchik, Emine and Kiten. The multi beam echosounder system RESON7111 (100 KHz) was used as a main research tool. Motion compensation was provided by MRU IXSEA Phins. Navigation was ensured by DGPS (Trimble SPS351) and precise Gyro compass. The Sound Velocity Profiles were measured by RESON SVP 20T. The soundings were processed and DTM with sell of 2 m was created for each study area.
