| Abstract | The data was collected within the Blue Ocean Energy Project financed by the Malta Council for Science and Technology through the National Research and Innovation Programme 2010. The project was intended to assess the wave energy resource potential in the area around the Maltese Islands throught the compilation of statistical diagnostics relating to the wave characteristics and seasonality of potential sites for wave power extraction. The wave data collection buoy ( DataWell WaveRider) was installed in open waters one nautical mile off the West coast of Gozo. The data was set up to be received in real-time via receiving radiometric equipment onshore. | |||||||||
