| Abstract | The Shabla’85-North expedition is a continuation of the investigations started by Danube’85 expedition under the Bulgarian National Program for Delimitation of the Water Boundaries in the Black Sea (Program 10185004). It was performed by the RV “Academic” from 17 June to 02 July, 1985. The polygon of the Shabla’85-North cruise covers the coastal waters from cape Shabla to the Bulgarian-Romanian border northward in water depths from about 20 m to 50-60 m with. The survey consists of a net of regional profiles oriented W-E direction. The survey was performed out by “sparker” with a linear group of 80 electrodes emitting impulses with energy of 0.8 kJ. It was used 5 m streamer with 8 hydrophone couples and reflected signals were filtered within a range of 120 - 815 Hz band and one second was recorded on the wet-paper “Inei-P” graphic recorder. The average penetration is about 0.5 sec bellow seabed increasing seaward. The echo-sounder investigations were made by SIMRAD - EA200 echo-sounder. Navigation was undertaken by BRAS radio-navigation system, with accuracy of about 50 m. The sparker sections are available as scanned images. |
